Bakatronics LLC designs and manufactures innovative electronic circuits for model railroads. For the last decade Baka has been creating new ways to make your model railroads “come alive”.
Bakatronics – DIY Kits and Model Railroads
The Kits include the Lighthouse Flasher, Emergency Lights, Airport Beacon, Campfire and Super Welder Flash kits All are based on advance micro controller technology and will enhance any railroad.
FK945 Digital Temperature Controller kit
This circuit can be used to control when an appliance or device turns on and off by temperature. 3 Digit Read Out and easy to set buttons.
Before Hams invented DIY Electronics and even before Electric Current gained any respectable position in the Manufacturing Community. The thing that was making many heads nod in unison, was Steam Engines.
Coal, Steel and then Steam Engines made the word Industrial Manufacturing very Meaningful.

Model Railroad Electronics – Rob Paisley
“Electronic circuits that are mostly for model railroads. Shown are designs that were developed to solve certain problems or achieve a desired control function. There are throttle, train detection, animation, control and general purpose circuits on this page.”
There are also some ideas for LEGO Brick

Mikes Optical Timer Counter
Once built, this counter timer/device is easily adapted to a wide variety of applications, simply by construction of a new sensor. Although designed to be used with photo-transistors, this device can also use relays, transistors and many other kinds of electrical switches as a sensor.
- Model Railroading
- 3 Transistor Audio Preamp for a Dynamic Microphone
Configuration and control of this counter/timer is through a RS232 port. Cable configuration for a usual PC compatible would consist of a null modem cable, with a female connector on the timer/counter end of the cable. The correct cable for a PC or usb to serial adapter with a DB-9 interface is listed in the bill of materials.
