Computer-controlled LED lamp
This page shows how to build a lamp using this module that can be programmed to show any color or cycle of colors, as instructed by a PC or Mac over a serial RS232 line. (Or USB, using a cheap USB-to-serial adapter – unfortunately USB cables cannot be longer than about two meters before they become either unreliable or very expensive.)

Auto measurement – Useful for quickly exploring signal characteristics. Measurement options include frequency, cycle time, duty cycle, peak voltage, RMS voltage, average voltage and DC voltage. Please note that frequency, cycle time and duty cycle can only be measured while triggering.

User Interface Overview – The screen is broken into a central display area and 3 operation bars around it. The menu on the top provides the most frequently-used adjustments to signal display. The status bar on the bottom provides precise measurement results and monitoring status. Adjust more advanced functions with the column of function icons on the right.

K1001 – 8 Channel Serial Servo Controller, Assembled & Tested
K1001 is an 8-Channel Serial Servo Controller based on the Atmel 89C2051 microcontroller. It accepts RS232 or TTL serial data from a computer or microcontroller and outputs PWM (pulse width modulated) signals to control up to eight RC servo motors (as used in radio-controlled model airplanes, cars, etc.). Unused servo pins can be reconfigured for digital output to drive on/off devices.
Up to four controllers can be multi-dropped on a single serial port for controlling up to 32 servo motors – more on request.
